NOWADEUS is a mesmerizing large-scale immersive art experience  by New Zealand-based multidisciplinary artist Tim Christie in collaboration with creative producer and animator The Grid. Following its acclaimed debut in New Zealand, the work now arrives in Dubai for its Middle Eastern premiere.

Enter a surreal arena where seven monumental “icons of today” take form – bold visual representations of the obsessions and fascinations that shape our everyday life: technology, fitness, beauty, fame, materialism, outrage and power. Immersive, magnetic and cinematic, NOWADEUS invites audiences to confromt what truly holds power over their attention in today’s world.

Christie’s vivid, larger-than-life characters are animated in collaboration with motion design studio The Grid, fusing striking visuals with subconscious storytelling. Together, they construct a thought-provoking universe that blurs the line between attraction and distraction in modern life.

The experience is elevated by an original score from composer Tom McLeod and enveloping spatial sound design by Mike Hodgson, creating a fully sensory journey. After captivating audiences at The Grid in August 2024, the exhibition now transforms kanvas Dubai into an unforgettable stage for sound, light, and imagination.
