As curator of Elevision’s dedicated Digital Art Channel, kanvas showcases artists from our international network on large-format LED screens across Dubai Design District (d3), Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), One Central, and selected locations in Abu Dhabi and London. The network includes iconic outdoor digital billboards as well as screens integrated into elevators and high-traffic public spaces, bringing digital art directly into the everyday urban experience.
The programme is a continuously evolving public digital art installation that is completely free to experience. Whether walking through d3, visiting DIFC, or passing through One Central, audiences can encounter contemporary digital artworks as part of their everyday journey—no ticket or gallery visit required. Every two weeks, a different artist takes over the network, creating a dynamic and ever-evolving exhibition that reaches thousands of viewers across the city.
FROM DUBAI D3 TO AN INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL SCREEN NETWORK
The initiative began with a series of artist takeovers across Dubai Design District (d3), where each participating artist’s work was displayed throughout the creative district on Elevision’s large-format LED screens and digital elevator displays. By integrating digital art into high-traffic urban environments, the programme creates multiple opportunities for audiences to discover contemporary digital works as part of their everyday experience.
Most recently, the initiative expanded significantly with the launch of the wider DIFC Digital Media Network, inaugurated by a large-scale takeover featuring Rank SSS. This expanded network extends the visibility of participating artists across premium locations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and London.
Since launching the programme, kanvas has featured a growing roster of internationally recognised digital artists, including Kati Katona, Susan Kosti, Jeremy Oury, Sebastien Labrunie, Poliforma Studio, and András Nagy. Upcoming takeovers will feature Selçuk Artut and Kristel Bechara, continuing our commitment to showcasing diverse voices working at the intersection of art and technology.
Elevision Media operates several content channels across its digital network, spanning lifestyle, culture, and traditional art. kanvas is proud to curate the dedicated Digital Art Channel, selecting artists whose work represents the innovation, creativity, and diversity of today’s digital art landscape. This multi-format approach extends each artist’s reach across diverse architectural settings, transforming city screens into a dynamic platform for contemporary digital art.
